Coastal Flair Maternity Photos • Danielle + Shawn

When Danielle first asked me to shoot her maternity photos, I was excited. When she said she was thinking of some coastal/urban flair locations, my excitement meter just shot up! We decided on Swami's area for this Encinitas maternity shoot, and I'm glad we did.

Danielle is a crafty DIY duchess so it's no surprise she put together a fun, handwritten message board announcing her family's special news. I captured their maternity session on one of the most beautiful days in San Diego this year. The beach isn't known for many clouds on a nice day, but working with the coastal flora and architecture, and my love for sun flare (Danielle said FLAIR, right? :), this was a super fun session! Danielle and Shawn are total lovebirds which shows in little Harper's personality (so sweet and happy). They were naturals in front of the camera and so cute the entire time. Looking forward to August when they'll officially welcome baby.
